Happiness: Break Away from the Mundane

Park City Utah 2004 Parade, by Bobak Ha'Eri.
How many times have you found yourself feeling stir crazy and needing to get out of your everyday norm? While watching the documentary, Happy, the other day it became clear to me that you don’t have to have a ton of money or a major shift in your life to find happiness.

Happiness can be found everywhere...sometimes you just have just break your routine to reignite it.

Stay-cations. Explore a different area you don’t go to often. Park City is one of my favorite places to go to get out of my daily life. There is always so much going on such as the Park City Silly Market among many other things.

Volunteer. What a great way to find happiness then giving back to others. Regardless of your financial situation, there are ways to help another person. Volunteer.org is an awesome website to check out to find out about all sorts of volunteer opportunities in your area. Another great website to check out is Meetup.com.

Lectures. The popular Ted Talks will be having some interesting lectures in September. For more information, check out their website and Facebook page. Or perhaps 3 Key elements is something that appeals to you. Whatever brings you joy, find ways to incorporate it into your busy lives.

What would you add to the list? Is there anything happening around Utah you would like to share?
